The home of the Lonsdale Battalion and the Border Regiment in the First World War

AEF are the initials of the American Expeditionary Force. In some circles it was said to have stood for "After England Failed," the result in why America had to join the war.[1] However, there were much broader political reasons that resulted in America joining the war.
