I have just been informed from Joseph Riston that the commemorative stones to Private Acton and Private Smith will be dedicated this Sunday 21 December 2014.
Here are the times and places were they will be held.
According to Joseph they have done this so that people can attend both dedications if they wish. Regards Mike. |

Shame I won't be able to attend. Would have like to have been there for that.
If anyone else is attending would you mind taking a few photos to share on the forum? |

Private James Alexander Glenn Smith V.C. - Workington Railway Station.
Until Workington decides what it is going to do with the railway Station the paving stone is going to be kept at Workington library. |

Thanks for the great photos Mike.
I really hope they remain well looked after and do not fall victim to vandalism. |
