| Memorial plaque on outside wall of St Mary’s church Kirkby Lonsdale. Pte. Thornborrow died in Pretoria of enteric fever on Sept 15th 1900, serving with the Kirkby Lonsdale section of the 1st Volunteer Active Service Corps, The Border Regiment.
