| Anyone spotted that a four bar QSA to 1st Border has just sold on e-bay for £157! It was for a Private Ellis, who the seller said was discharged (wounded/sick perhaps?) in August 1901. Paul |

| Yes, I saw it but decided not to bid despite temptation! The QSA is one of my favourite medals and quite a few to the Border Regt are turning up at present. I have been offered a 4 bar one recently that I am thinking about.
Am away from all my research stuff at present so couldn't check to see if Ellis was shown on a casualty list. |

I did notice that the Ellis one had been incorrectly or perhaps re engraved. I have an East Kents QSA which I would love to exchange for a Border Regt one - Yeah - dream on eh?!!! | There were a few sold by Dix Noonan Webb recently and they are popping up on dealers lists now. DNW very reputable and always indicate any renaming whether official or bogus. I have bought a couple of EBay over the months, got two from a dealer and offerred another from dealer. There are at least six others on lists. All would seem to be from reputable sources. I know a few collectors who have also picked a couple up recently and they have also been correct. |
