Dare I mention it – before even the shops and TV adverts? Well, here goes – Christmas!

Before you go to your cupboards to dig out the packets of Xmas cards you bought for 99p in the last January sales (I do I’m a tight Yorkshireman!) You might like to print out the below to send to any friends who have an interest in military/historical matters. It’s an unused Kings crown Border Regiment Xmas card which I estimate is post WW2 1946-51 due to the economy paper and lack of a colour printed insert which you see on the earlier 1920s/1930s examples.

To print it: left click, then right click on the below image, then “save picture as” to name the file and save it onto your system, then print it from your files as usual.

I've pasted the scans so you can now fold it into four , then trim the white border off it. The card is actually pretty much the size of the original . just a touch larger. Obviously the resulting card will depend on the quality and thickness of paper you use. I find cheap independent brand matt photo paper always works well enough for my cards.

Any problems, send me your e-mail address and I’ll attach the original scan file and return it to you. Regards, Paul.
