Photos of uniformed men on March Hill Sedbergh during WW1. I suspect some will be territorials, but most (especially the small ones and those with light bands around their caps) will be Sedbergh School OTC. Several of the school's old boys were killed serving with The Border Regiment, notably 2nd Lt C.R. Darwell at Gallipoli where his brother George - another old Sedberghian, was his CO. Sedbergh School master Capt B.C. Harrison was wounded with the Lonsdales then killed serving with the 5th Btn on 12 Aug 1918 aged 40.
