| Samuel James Price, service number 5781, was a Regimental Quartermaster Sergeant[1] with the Border Regiment prior to being commissioned on 21 October 1915.[3] He also served with the Worcester Regiment[4] at some stage. In October 1916, Price was appointed Officer Commanding of B Company, 6th Border Regiment.[5][6] There are two medal cards (see references) for Price one shows he was mentioned in dispatches on 15 September 1916 and the other that he was awarded the Military Cross. | |
