*A [[{{gw|bombardment]]}} of the enemy's lines is carried out at 4:20pm by [[{{gw|Allied]]}} Field Guns: 4.5 [[{{gw|Howitzer]]}}s, medium and light [[{{gw|trench mortar]]}}s and [[{{gw|rifle]]}} [[{{gw|grenade]]}}s [[gw:Battery (artillery)|batteries]].
*The bombardment lasts for 30 mins with very little retaliation. The German trenches are badly damaged.
*From 4:30pm to 10:30pm it rains very heavily causing some damage to the [[Lonsdales]] trenches and [[{{gw|dug-out]]}}s.
 
==1917 (Wednesday)==
*[[Battalion]] situated at Oost Dunkerque cleaning up [[{{gw|billet]]}}s; rains during the morning.
