This template is intended to tag media files that have been sourced from websites where the copyright status as "unknown." It should be used only when a media file's current copyright status has not been identified, and you (the user) are tagging it to define this unknown status.

There are two ways to include this licence for your work: as wikitext in the Summary box or via the Licensing drop-down list.

  • As wikitext: Copy and paste the following {{Licence (from website)}} under a "Licensing" level 2 heading.
  • Drop-down selection: Select "This work found on a website in unknown" from the list.

Double-check all the information in the summary is correct and click on "save".
