|post =I have to admit that this book can be a strain at times to get through but this really is the bible of the Border Regiment. This book covers the history of the regiment during the First World War and gives incredibly detailed insights to the different battalions and their actions/movements during this period. As there are few decent books published about any of the battalions or the regiment in general, this is a must have if you are starting out with your research. Even if you know your history, this is a valuable resource to have.
