This is a documentation subpage for Template:Licence (public domain author).

In most cases it contains usage information, example, categories and other content that is not part of the original template page.

This licence should be used by the author of works who wishes to release said works into the public domain.

Please note: This licence can only be used by the creator / copyright holder of said works.

There are two ways to include this licence for your work: as wikitext in the Summary box or via the Licensing drop-down list.

• As wikitext: Copy and paste the following {{Licence (public domain author)}} under a "Licensing" level 2 heading.
• Drop-down selection: Select "This is my own work for release into the public domain without conditions" from the list.

Double-check all the information in the summary is correct and click on "save".
