This is a documentation subpage for Template:Hatnote compendium page.
In most cases it contains usage information, example, categories and other content that is not part of the original template page.
This hatnote template is used for article pages in the main namespace. Its function is to notify the reader that the page/article they are reading is listed in the Compendium of the Lonsdale Battalion and the wider Border Regiment.
{{hatnote compendium entry}} should be placed at the bottom of any new compendium page. Adding [[Category:Compendium]] is not required as it it is built in to the template. However, additional relative categories may be included, especially if they are sub-categories of the compendium.
