This is a documentation subpage for Template:Licence (private archive).
In most cases it contains usage information, example, categories and other content that is not part of the original template page.
This template is intended to tag media files that belong to a private or family archive. Media files with this licence should have prior permission from the current owner before being included on this site. Photographs from private collections cannot be used without this licence. Other media files such as widely used images from postcards, for example, providing they were created/published prior to 1953, can include the additional {{PD-UK70}} licence.
There are two ways to include this licence for your work: as wikitext in the Summary box or via the Licensing drop-down list.
- As wikitext: Copy and paste the following
{{Licence (private archive)}}under a "Licensing" level 2 heading. - Drop-down selection: Select "Privately owned with permission from the current owner" from the list.
Double-check all the information in the summary is correct and click on "save".
