This template is specifically to mark images older than 70 years as Public Domain (PD) images, providing you know beyond reasonable doubt that the work is older than 70 years from the death of the author. If the author is unknown it falls into the public domain 70 years after the work was created. Please do not use it for other people's images.
There are two ways to include this licence for your work: as wikitext in the Summary box or via the Licensing drop-down list.
- As wikitext: Copy and paste the following
{{PD-UK70}}under a "Licensing" level 2 heading. - Drop-down selection: Select "Work is in the public domain in United Kingdom / Term of copyright has expired (70+ years)" from the list.
Double-check all the information in the summary is correct and click on "save".
