Template documentation

Using w2

{{w2}} is short for Wikipedia2, named so because you are required to enter two titles – the actual title on Wikipedia and what you rename it to.

For example, typing {{{w2|First World War|The Great War}} produces The Great War.

Please note that the article title you enter must be the same that on Wikipedia. This is the same for both templates. You can include any redirect page titles as they will automatically redirect to the correct article.

Using w1

{{w1}} is short for Wikipedia1, named so because you only need to enter one title. This template is to be used for directly linking to Wikipedia articles without having to use lengthy links. There is only one parameter – the title of the article you wish to link to.

For example, typing {{w1|First World War}} produces First World War.
