The Victor – “The Piccolo Player”

Cartoon story from The Victor comic November 17th 1973 issue (Anyone remember reading this at school the first time around?) featuring Sgt. Taylor & Pte. Lawless of 8th Border Regiment during the German Spring Offensive at Vaux in March 1918. It would appear that both men survived the war as there was no "Lawless" casualty in the 8th Battalion, and the only Sgt. Taylor killed with the 8th died in 1916. The comic does not state if Lawless received a medal or MiD for this action - anyone know?
