This month's issue of YFT magazine has two items relating to the Border Regiment. One is an article (case study) about Jack Tyrell who joined the regiment in Workington on 15th January 1908. The other is a letter regarding William Maurice Johnston, born Broughton in 1858 and apparently served at some time (around 1883 when a daughter was born) in 55th Regiment of Foot.
