Images provide an important function, generally enhancing the text within an article. While many articles do not necessarily require an image to enhance the quality, there are a large number of articles that would benefit from some form of visual aid to the written text, namely, images of soldiers for the remembrance pages. The Lonsdale Battalion Wiki is looking for copyright-free digital copies of images of anything relating to primarily, the Lonsdale Battalion and secondly, the Border Regiment. The reason we ask for copyright-free images is that this removes the problem of displaying any such images in an open and public webspace.
