| Samuel James Price, service number 5781, was a Regimental Quartermaster Sergeant[2] with the Border Regiment prior to being commissioned on 21 October 1915.[3] He also served with the Worcester Regiment[4] at some stage. In October 1916, Price was appointed Officer Commanding of B Company, 6th Border Regiment.[5][6] There are two medal cards (see references) for Price one shows he was mentioned in dispatches on 15 September 1916 and the other that he was possibly awarded the Military Cross. | |
