In memory of
John Bardgett
(15309 L/Cpl.)

11th Border Regiment
Who died 1st July 1916.
A review of the following fully titled: A Short History of The Border Regiment. Published by Gale and Polden Ltd, Aldershot.

This booklet was specially published for the 2nd Cumberland (Carlisle City) Battalion Home Guard to commemorate The Border Regiment week in Carlisle, 2-9 September, 1944. This booklet is also 31 pages long, not 29 as mentioned in the video. Page 30 show the Battle Honours of the Regiment and page 31 shows the 'Objects of the Border Regiment Benevolent Fund'.

This is cracking little booklet. Very short but definitely worth getting hold of one if you can.
