This project originally included only Lonsdale Battalion men that died in service during the Great War. This later expanded to include other battalions of the Border Regiment, that every soldier from the regiment is remembered. As you can imagine compiling thousands of soldiers commemorative details into individual remembrance pages is both lengthy and time consuming. For one person this project will probably last a lifetime. This is where you can help. If you can spare some time adding commemorative details to remember every fallen soldier, we would like to hear from you.

The two main sources are:

• Soldiers Died in the Great War 1914-19, Volume 39, The Border Regiment
• Commonwealth War Graves Commission database

The rolls contain various categories to help navigate through them. These are constantly being developed to ensure a better experience. Although they mostly contain details of Lonsdale men, over time the details from the other rolls will be included in these sub-categories. Eventually, they will include the casualties from all the battalions of the Regiment....but this will be a slow process.
