  • No. of entries: These figures can change and will be updated acordingly. The above table primarily comprises other ranks. Officers are now slowly being included in this roll, which will affect the total number of entries. These figures are rather ambiguous as it is difficult to say with any certainty how many casualties there are under each letter. It is likely there may be some names missing from this roll due to differences and discrepancies in the primary sources: Commonwealth War Graves Commission and Soldiers Died in the Great War.
  • Current progress: This is the first time the data from the primary sources were added here. The template used was basic, and whilst this has been improved temporarily, these will all be fully updated.
  • New template update: Each remembrance page will be updated with the newer version of the {{ROH Soldier 11th Battalion}} template, but this just takes a lot of time.
  • Enlistments and Deaths: These entries are included (where practicable) in the On this day project. They will be added individually or within a separate template as a bulleted list depending on number. Where lists become greater than six names, they will be included in bulleted lists. The larger lists, such 1 July, 18 November and 2 December contain many more names, and are included as separate templates. Names should be added to those templates, not the date page itself.

It is entirely possible that names, service numbers, ranks and any other identifiable information may have been misrepresented between these records. This could result in the same person having two different records where one could be listed under the 11th Border Regiment in CWGC, while the other record for the same person could show him as listed under the 8th Border Regiment in SDGW. This may have represented a delay in the records being updated before the rolls went to print. However, it is entirely likely soldiers who enlisted in the Lonsdale Battalion could have transferred (or be temporarily attached) to another unit, including other battalions of the Border Regiment, making them more difficult to find and include in the roll.

Other problematic casualties are listed as "depot", or aren't even listed under a specific battalion. Where this is the case, the generic term "Border Regiment" leaves the accuracy of some records slightly misrepresented.
