Embus

The home of the Lonsdale Battalion and the Border Regiment in the First World War

To embus meant to enter troops on board motor omnibuses for transport at the Front. The places where the troops boarded the buses were marked with notice boards bearing the official coined words "Embussing point." See also Debus.[1]
