KILLED Word has been received that Sergeant Arthur Hackett, of the Lonsdales, was killed in action on Saturday week. No official intimation has been received, but one of his comrades, Sergeant Martin Mitchinson, now home on a few days leave, went over he parapet at the same time, and says he saw Hackett killed. He was only twenty two years of age, and before enlisting worked as a blastfurnaceman at Moss Bay.
