*There is a typo in SDGW regarding place born. It incorrectly states Newcastle, Cumberland. In England there are three Newcastles: one in Tyne and Wear (historically part of Northumberland), one in Shropshire and another in Staffordshire. As to which Newcastle, it is unclear and it could be likely that the typo isn't the county but the town/village location itself.
*John is also commemorated on a family grave in Dalston Road Cemetery, Carlisle.
