Battn occupying front line with 3 companies and one Coy in Support. Enemy actively shelled system of trenches.
CORCELLES
12/1/17
Battn in line. Enemy Artillery very active. At 2.30 p.m. our front line Systematically bombarded. Heavies in rear areas. Communications with Companies and Brigade cut. 4.30 p.m. enemy barrage open up. During evening he quietened down. Our Artillery effectively replying.

Battn was relieved by 17th HLI and went to billets in CORCELLES.

Battn in billets supplied working parties as when carrying in trenches. One Company remained at COLINCAMP for working party & one Company in trenches O.P. Dugouts.

Battn paraded and marched to BUS except one Company at COLINCAMPS.

Battn in line. Relieved at 6.30 p.m. by 17th HLI & went to dug outs in BEAUMONT HAMEL. Working Parties. C.O. and Officers went over works (defences at B.H.)
