11th Batt Border Regt proceeded by 10.30am train from ROMESCAMP to join 1/5th Batt Border Regt. 11th Batt Border Regt disbanded from today.

Appendix I

Letter of transfer of 11th Border Regiment to 1/5th Border Regiment. Letter damaged and most of the right side is torn away; as a result many words are missing.

       With reference to O.B./2231 dated 16.7.1918:-

(1)    Please despatch personnel (W.Os., N.C.Os. and ,men) of the....[missing words]
Training Staffs named below, up to Establishment laid down O....[missing words]
dated 11.4.1918 and as amended by O.B./1851/A dated 27.4.1918....[missing words]
units shown. Any surplus personnel belonging to such battalion....[missing words]
sent to their respective Base Depots.
Order regarding officers will be issued A.G., G.H.Q.

Battalion Training Staff  :-

11th Border Regt.        To join 1/5th Border Regt.

(2)    Nominal rolls of personnel proceeding either to units or....[missing words]
Depots, as above, should accompany them (stating any special qu....[?-qualifications]....[Missing words]
they may possess - and in the case of W.Os. and N.C.Os. their....[missing words]
rank), copies being sent to this office; number and date of th....[missing words]
should be quoted on the rolls.

(3)    The number of W.Os., N.C.Os. And men comprising the battalion.... Training Staffs and date of departure from 66th Division should be wired to headquarters of the Formation to which they are proceeding, and repeated to this office - such date to be taken as the date of disbandment of the Battalions to which the Training Staffs belonged and the W.Os. and N.C.Os. Concerned will revert to their permanent rank from that date.

       Copy of instructions as to disposal of these battalions Training Staffs on arrival with their new units is attached for your information.
