  • Savy: Work continues in salvaging of materials and collecting the dead.
  • Working parties in the village clearing of the road. Working parties also employed elsewhere.
  • Two companies out in Bois de Holnon, digging outposts.

1918 (Wednesday)

  • Battalion situated in the front line. Enemy is reported massing in front of B Company's position.
  • 500–600 are seen leaving the trenches in small parties; probably reinforcements rushed up to hold up an expected attack.
  • Situation is normal again by 11am and the day is quiet.
  • Advance party of Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders arrive.
  • Reconnoitring of the 'purple line.'
