Lonsdale Battalion events that took place on 8 May.
- Battalion moves to Prees Heath Camp in Salop (Shropshire) where it joins the 97th Infantry Brigade, under Brigadier-General Hacket Thompson, C.B.
- The ground there is found unsuitable for Brigade Training.
- Report from the School of Instruction, Stirling on Lieut. Davidson. “A very hard working officer who has had very little previous experience. He should make a very good officer. His conduct was Exemplary.” 
- Battalion in isolation camp at Contay Wood (measles) involved in Divisional and Brigade manoeuvres, training and small working parties.Training continues during the whole period of isolation.
