1915 (Sunday)

  • Letter from the Earl of Lonsdale regarding the proposed move to Grantham:
    Obviously, I have no wish to express any opinion as to where the Battalion is sent, and I entirely agree with anything that Colonel Machell desires, my one object being to further the interest of the Regiment, and am only anxious to agree with whatever he wishes.[1]
  • Lieut. Hodgkinson writes report on Belton Park Camp, Grantham, in preparation for the move.[1]

1916 (Tuesday)

  • Battalion is relieved by the 10th York and Lancaster Regiment.
  • Returns to billets in Senlis.

1917 (Wednesday)

  • Savy: Working parties in Étreillers and during the night.
  • Commanding officers and company commanders go forward to reconnoitre the ground and enemy lines near the village of Holnon.
  • Deaths: George Crozie (30155 Pte.)

1918 (Thursday)
