1915 (Friday)
- Copy memo. of Major Binning: “It has been suggested that an album of photos of the Lonsdale Battalion for sale in a cheap form, would be of considerable assistance to recruiting.[1]
- Regarding bathing: “As long as the Battalion remains at Carlisle, companies will attend Baths as usual.[2]
1916 (Sunday)
- Senlis: Situated in billets involved in training.
1917 (Monday)
- Holnon: Remains in support to two battalions in the front line.
- One Company provides immediate support to the 17th Highland Light Infantry.
- Work is done on shelters.
- Deaths: William Walker Inman (24707 L/Cpl.).
1918 (Tuesday)
- In the Line: Enemy patrol outside Lonsdales' position at 6am and fired on. Party retires but comes again, giving themselves up. 10th Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders take seven prisoners; Lonsdales take four.

- Battalion Headquarters is moved into a new dugout.
