1915

• Battalion Orders: “Greatcoats will always be worn or carried by NCO’s and men proceeding to Musketry, for the purpose of protection in the case of rain and to lie upon when firing.”

1916

• The Lonsdales and 17th Highland Light Infantry relieve each other; the men billet in Millencourt.

1917

• Battalions situated at Weincourt involved in general parades for training etc.

1918

• Battalion situated in camp near Woesten. Church parades as usual. Local cinemas etc. patronised in afternoon. The men bathe, get deloused and are issued with straw paliasses and an extra blanket.
