Estimated casualties so far over 2,000. 69 Territorial Battalions volunteer for service abroad. 100,000 recruits practically secured. Principle to observe, maximum forces of enemy Empires constantly diminish, our reinforcements steadily increase, army worthy of British Empire results. New Field Army in six or seven months may total 30 divisions continually maintained in field. If war prolonged and future adverse, greater sacrifices required from Empire and nation.
