Lonsdale Battalion events that took place on 17 July.

1916 (Monday)

  • Battalion situated in huts at Amplier.
  • Divisional Commander (General Rycroft) addresses Brigade congratulating them on their achievement.
  • Lonsdales parade at 2:55pm, then march to Sus-Saint-Leger via Halloy and Lucheux, taking over billets.

1917 (Tuesday)

  • Battalion situated at Gyhvelde training in dunes until 1:45pm.

1918 (Wednesday)

  • Battalion training continues with 1st Battalion 130th Infantry Regiment (USA) at Ailly-le-Haut-Clocher.[note 1]
