Battalion Orders: Greatcoats will always be worn or carried by NCO’s and men proceeding to Musketry, for the purpose of protection in the case of rain and to lie upon when firing.^[1]

The Lonsdales and 17th Highland Light Infantry relieve each other; the men billet in Millencourt.

1917 (Saturday)

Weincourt: Involved in general parades for training etc.

1918 (Sunday)

Situated in camp near Woesten. Church parades as usual. Local cinemas etc. patronised in afternoon.
Bathing and delousing takes place; the men are issued with straw paliasses^[a] and an extra blanket.
