Citation For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. This man has not left the battalion for a single day since the outbreak of hostilities. When the battalion was without either a quartermaster or a regimental quartermaster-serjeant, he carried out the combined duties with great ability and success. He has set a magnificent example of faithfulness and loyalty to the battalion.
