Citation or conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty in an attack. He led a platoon with great ability in the attack, cleared up several difficult situations, and mopped up several parties of the enemy. He worked untiringly during the consolidation organising supplies, and inspired his men with confidence by his courageous example.
