Citation For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty at the RAF, after the medical officer had been taken away wounded. He repeatedly went out to dress casualties in the vicinity under intense fire, showed great judgement in evacuating the wounded, and by his total disregard of danger saved many lives, and set a magnificent example to all with him.
