1915 (Thursday)

  • Parades and training tomorrow will be at the discretion of Officers Commanding Companies, having due regard to the effects of vaccination. [1]
  • Lt-Col. Machell to General Gaisford, Western Command: ... over 75 per cent laid up, effects vaccination, request postpone inspection until after middle next week.[2]
  • B.C. Harrison of B Company and W.W. Stephens (13641) of D Company attend the School of Musketry.[3]
  • Enlistments to E Company: M. Morgan (19430) / William Scott (19431) / Alexander Coulthhard (19432).[3]

1916 (Saturday)

  • Battalion situated at the front in the E1 sector near Hénencourt.
  • Day very quiet owing to bad weather of snow, frost and thaw alternating. Trenches falling in and very wet.

1917 (Sunday)

1918 (Monday)

  • Battalion situated near Charpentier. Quiet except for machine guns on tracks by night and trench mortars in 'Owls Wood'.
  • Battalion HQ located at 'Caledonia Club.'
