Citation For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. He performed the duties of quartermaster-serjeant with marked ability and devotion to duty, especially during the operations, when he personally supervised daily the issue of rations to the company under difficult and dangerous conditions. As regimental quartermaster-serjeant his work has been of the same high standard.
