• Aveluy: In the F1 sector. Day is quiet.

1917 (Wednesday)

• Courcelles: Battalion parades, then leaves billets.
• Battalion relieves the 17th Highland Light Infantry in the trenches (C3 Sector) at Serre.
• Arthur David Parton (27872) is killed in action.

1918 (Thursday)

• Tournehem: Involved in defensive training, special attention is paid to wiring.
