1915

1916

  • Battalion relieves the 17th Highland Light Infantry in the E1 sector near Dernancourt.[2]
  • A draft of two officers (2nd Lieuts. Davidson and Monkhouse) and 20 other ranks join the Battalion.[3]

1917

  • Battalion rests during the day, then continues digging during the night. One Company digs out posts at Vaux and another at Étreillers.[4]

1918

  • Battalion Headquarters moves to the centre of Adinfer Wood. Trenches are improved.[5]
