- Letter from Chief Constable of Carlisle: “A report against Lance Corporal Austin Ferguson for driving a motor bicycle without a licence ... shall be glad to know whether you will deal with it yourself or prefer it to come before the Justices in the ordinary way.[1]
- Forfeiture of pay for absence: R. Slater (13278), H. Pettitt (13919), W. Dornan (15451), J. Irving (15554), R. Fairley (13700), J. Marshall (13749)[2]
- A. Ferguson (15386) of B Company is deprived of his Lance Corporal stripes.[2]

- Battalion situated at the front in the E1 sector near Hénencourt.
- Enemy artillery shells a working party killing 2nd Lieut. Robinson and NCO William Blundell Alderson (13645).
- Gilbert Aikens (16310), possibly wounded by rifle grenade, dies of wounds.
1917 (Friday)
- In the Support Intermediate Line (Kuropatkin) providing working parties for Royal Engineers. Discussion for proposed raid on enemy trench.
