1915
- Battalion is given inoculations.[1]
- Battalion Orders including letter from the Brigadier General: "I desire to express to you my satisfaction with the inspection of your battalion today. The men are smart, well set up and soldierly in appearance, their quarters clean and orderly and the interior economy of the Battalion is good. Although owing to the heavy rain I was unable to see the Battalion at drill, I feel sure that its training, as far as it has gone, has been well carried out with good results." [2]
- Invoice from Briggs Brothers of Market Street, Carlisle: "Hire of 132ft of Tabling for Dining Rooms from 1 October to 31 December 1914 (3 Months) is £2 10s." [3]

1916
- Battalion is situated in the F1 sector near Aveluy. The day is quiet.
- Deaths: Nathaniel Nichol Davidson (13825 Cpl.)
1917
- Battalion is situated in billets at Courcelles supplying working parties in the trenches.
1918
- At Tournehem preparing for the Corps Commanders Inspection. It snows for the majority of the day giving rise to indoor lectures.
- Inspection by the Corps Commander is cancelled owing to inclement weather.
