1915

  • Battalion is relieved by the 17th Highland Light Infantry and proceeds to Bouzincourt.[1]
  • "First week in trenches, only six casualties, one, Nicholson (of Carlisle), since died. The 51st Division, to which we were attached, especially thanked Rycroft for the way the 11th Borders had played up."[2]Lt-Col. P.W. Machell [3]
