1914

  • Enlistments: Arthur Hackett (17497 Sgt.)  •  John Hartley (16337 Pte.)  •  William Haston (16282 Pte.)
  • Lt-Col Machell’s draft letter re discharge: Private J. Simpson....this man....is so dull witted, stupid and obstinate as to be incapable of learning his drill.
