  • Lt-Col. Machell to Lord Lonsdale: ....you thought you could lend me a useful animal [a horse] for Parade....I should much like him this week – we contemplate a march round Carlisle on Saturday, the hiring day....Total strength yesterday 814. [1]

1916

  • Battalion situated at La Vicogne involved in general parades of instruction under Commanding Officer.[2]

1917

  • Battalion situated in the Roubrouck Area involved in Company training.[3]
