Battalion makes a night attack on German positions South of Westroosebeek in conjunction with the remaining units of 97th Brigade and two units of the 96th Brigade.
1.55am: Zero hour. The Lonsdales take their objectives.
Two leapfrogging companies fall back before dawn onto subsidiary objectives. These are held all day.
4.30pm: The enemy launches a counterattack and the Lonsdale fall back to the old line.
