- Bedding return for A Company: blankets 828, mattresses 303 bolsters [pillows] 303.[1]
- Letter from Lt-Col. Machell: “....I consulted the Committee of the Cumberland Infirmary, who have agreed to allow men of the Battalion under my command to occupy up to thirty beds provided that the cases are suitable for admission, and that there is room.” [2]

- Battalion is relieved by the 17th Highland Light Infantry, moving to billets at Aveluy, close behind the lines.[4]
- Involved in fatigue duties[5] for the Royal Engineers.[4]

- Battalion situated at Tournehem. Companies at the disposal of Company Commanders; cleaning of billets and reconnoitering training grounds.[10]
