October

1914

  • 1 man is recruited at Bowness-on-Solway.[1]
  • Battalion strength: 431 men, 10 officers.[2]

1916

  • Battalion situated in the Cambrin Sector. During the morning Brigadier General Jardine and the Commanding Officer visit front line trenches.[3]
  • At 3pm the Battalion is relieved from the Right Subsector by the 17th H.L.I. and proceeds to take up position in Support (Village Line).[3]

1917

  • Battalion situated in Teteghem. Recreation in the afternoon.[4]
